The Recorder's office handles real estate records, birth, death and marriage records, as well as boat, snowmobile and all terrain vehicle registrations and titles. In addition, the office sells hunting, fishing and trapping licenses, including deer and turkey tags.

Electronic recording of documents is available. Collection of real estate transfer tax and Auditor's transfer fees on conveyances of property are due at the time of recording.

Issues DNR Licenses, Registrations, Applications & Titles
• Boat Registrations/Titles/Liens
• Snowmobile Registrations/Titles/Liens • ATV/ORV Registrations/Titles/Liens • Hunting & Fishing Licenses to include Fur Harvester, Habitat, Duck & Trout Stamps, Deer & Wild Turkey, and Landowner/Tenant licenses. Permits to drive your ATV/ORV on county gravel roads are available for $50. Renewable January 1st of every year. |

Other Responsibilities:
Filing detailed reports monthly and annually to the county and state agencies which include the Iowa Department of Public Health, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Iowa Department of Revenue & Finance.
